Chandigarh, February 23, 2025- Congress on Sunday released its manifesto for the civic elections in Haryana. Releasing the manifesto in a press conference at the Congress Bhawan in Gurugram, senior leaders appealed to the voters of the state to give full majority to the Congress in the civic elections and make it victorious.


During the release of the manifesto at the Congress Bhawan in Gurugram, former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, State President Udaibhan, former Minister Captain Ajay Singh Yadav, In-charge Karan Dalal, former Minister Geeta Bhukkal, former Minister Sukhbir Singh Kataria, PCC Working President Jitendra Bhardwaj, former candidates Vardhan Yadav, Mohit Grover, Pearl Chaudhary, Media Coordinator and Urban Coordinator Pankaj Dawar, Rural Coordinator Virendra Yadav, Pankaj Bhardwaj, Co-in-charge Thakur Rajaram and many other leaders were present.


In the press conference, former CM Hooda and State President Udaibhan discussed in detail on the election manifesto of Haryana. State President Udaibhan read the manifesto of Haryana Municipal Elections. The manifesto of Gurugram was read by Congress Mayor Seema Pahuja.


The government could not provide basic facilities even in 10 years: Bhupinder Singh Hooda
On this occasion, former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda said the public should elect the Mayor of Congress and maximum number of councilors and send them to the House and said there would be no shortage of development of Gurugram.
While sharing the manifesto, he said that this manifesto of Congress for Municipal Corporation, Gurugram Election-2025 is based on local issues and problems. “For 10 years, under the rule of BJP government, Gurugram did not get the basic facilities, which BJP had promised to provide when it came to power. BJP also remained in power in Municipal Corporation, but the picture did not change,” he said.


“Through its manifesto, Congress party promises the people of Gurugram to change the picture and fate of Gurugram. Every problem will be solved in a stipulated time, every facility will be provided at world class level,” he added.
BJP government has failed in 100 days: Udaibhan


State Congress President Udaibhan said BJP government has failed in its first 100 days. “Although the government has been failing for 10 years, but CM Naib Singh Saini has been limited to announcements only. No work is being done on the schemes on the ground,” he said.


On the manifesto, the state Congress president said the manifesto of Congress for the civic elections has been prepared on a large scale. “Every topic related to public interest has been touched upon in it. The manifesto has been prepared after closely studying the problems of the public,” he said.
He appealed to the people of Gurugram to make the path of development easy by electing the Congress mayor and councillor in the civic elections.


Mayor candidate read Gurugram’s manifesto
The Congress mayor candidate said that Gurugram will be given a permanent gift of cleanliness by making it garbage free. Places will be designated to dump garbage in the city. The process of door-to-door garbage collection will be improved. A permanent solution will be found to the waterlogging in Gurugram. Old drains will be cleaned and cemented for water drainage. Work on the construction of Gurugram’s civil hospital will be started soon.


She said that facilities will be increased in Sector-10 Civil Hospital. The construction work of Mata Sheetla temple will be completed soon. The construction work of the bus stand will be started as soon as possible. The roads will be made better by making them pothole free.


All the squares and intersections of the city will be beautified. Statues of great men will be installed at squares and intersections. Parks and museums will be built in the name of Guru Dronacharya. Guru Dronacharya’s temple will be expanded. RWA will be given funds for the work. Statues of martyrs and revolutionaries will be installed in the city.
Mayor candidate Seema Pahuja further said that Lt Atul Kataria Chowk will be beautified. Lights will be arranged by beautifying green belts and parks. The number of public toilets will be increased.


The maintenance process will be improved. Work will be done in a planned manner to improve the traffic system. Multi-level parking will be started as soon as possible. Welcome and thank you gates will be built at the entry and exit gates of Gurugram. Welcome gates will be built on Maa Sheetla Mandir Road. The street light system will be improved and corrected. During the construction work, work will be done in coordination between the departments regarding NOC. If the digging work is completed anywhere, then the road will be constructed there immediately, so that the traffic system can remain smooth.


Apart from this, the system of drinking water, sewerage and drainage will be improved in every colony. Special work will be done on cleanliness in Khandsa Mandi. The work of the drain which has been closed for more than two years near Basai flyover will be completed immediately. The roads will be widened so that there can be relief from traffic jams.


The work of the Municipal Corporation building being constructed in Vyapar Sadan on MG Road will be completed soon. MG Road, Delhi Road, Basai Road, Old and New Railway Road, Old Delhi Road, Khandsa Road, the road from Sector-4/7 Chowk to Sector-9 will be beautified by building it better.


Stray animals will be removed from the roads and sent to cow shelters. The window system will be improved for all kinds of work in the Municipal Corporation office. She assured that the Municipal Corporation will improve its interface with citizens, listen to the problems of the people in every ward and solve them. Open gyms will be set up in parks and other public places for women and youth.


Announcing facilities for senior citizens, she said senior citizens will be provided facilities at their homes so that they do not face any problems. Water coolers will be installed at various places in the city for drinking water. Sheds and benches will be installed at every square and intersection so that people can sit comfortably. The CCTV system will be improved for security. A platform will be created for all kinds of complaints, from there complaints will be sent to the concerned departments for resolution.
