Third US Military Aircraft Brings 112 Indian Deportees to Amritsar

Amritsar, February 16, 2025: Another 112 Indian nationals deported from the United States arrived in Amritsar today as the third US military aircraft carrying deportees landed at Amritsar Airport.

According to official reports, the deportees include 31 individuals from Punjab, 44 from Haryana, 33 from Gujarat, 2 from Uttar Pradesh, and 2 each from Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, bringing the total count to 112.

This marks the third batch of deported Indian migrants in recent days, following the return of 116 deportees yesterday. The surge in US deportations comes amid stricter immigration policies and heightened border security measures. The Indian government has been closely monitoring the situation, with authorities providing necessary assistance to those returning.

The deportations highlight growing concerns over illegal immigration and the challenges faced by undocumented migrants in the US. With increasing enforcement of immigration laws, the trend of deportations is expected to continue, impacting many Indian nationals seeking opportunities abroad.
