Washington (Rajeev Sharma): The White House has announced the launch of “TRUMP TV,” a new digital broadcasting network designed to provide continuous access to presidential speeches, administration announcements and other official video content.
The platform is intended to give viewers a direct way to follow developments from the Trump administration, with programming available around the clock. The service will feature speeches, public appearances, announcements and other selected content connected to the president and his administration.
The launch marks a further expansion of the White House’s use of digital platforms to communicate directly with the public. Instead of relying entirely on traditional television networks to carry presidential events, the administration can now distribute its own video programming through a dedicated online channel.
The network is expected to feature a mixture of live coverage and previously recorded material, allowing viewers to watch presidential remarks and other administration-related programming throughout the day.
The introduction of TRUMP TV comes at a time when relations between the White House and parts of the American news media remain contentious. The administration has increasingly used its own digital channels to communicate with audiences, while media organisations continue to cover presidential activities through their own reporting.
