Khatima, Udham Singh Nagar: On the fifth anniversary of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced that Uttarakhand has become the first state in the country to implement the policy in its entirety.
Speaking at a program organized under the All India Education Samagam in Khatima, CM Dhami said that the state has taken “significant and far-reaching educational initiatives” to strengthen the foundation of learning.
“Under NEP 2020, we have introduced Balvatika classes in more than 5,600 Anganwadi centers across Uttarakhand. This marks a historic step in transforming early childhood education,” Dhami said.
The Chief Minister credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary leadership for driving education reforms that have set new benchmarks for the country’s learning ecosystem.
“The NEP 2020 has redefined the nation’s education system, and Uttarakhand is proud to lead by example in its effective implementation,” Dhami added.
The state government plans to continue expanding NEP-linked initiatives, aiming to make quality education accessible to every child while aligning with the national vision of a modern, skill-oriented, and inclusive education system.
