Urgent Search Intensifies for Missing Teen in Edmonton; Family Makes Emotional Appeal for Safe Return

Edmonton ( Rajeev Sharma): The Edmonton Police Service has intensified its search for missing teenager Prayag Dalbhatwala, whose sudden disappearance has raised serious concerns among authorities and his family.

Prayag was last seen on April 23, 2026, at approximately 4:00 p.m. near 99 Street and 90 Avenue in Edmonton. Police confirmed that he was initially planning to travel to Calgary but cancelled his plans at the last moment. Since then, he has not been seen or heard from, making the situation highly concerning and out of character.

He is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall with a medium build, dark hair, and glasses. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing green camouflage joggers and a black Bench hoodie. Authorities also noted that he is known to frequent the University of Alberta area.

In an official statement, police said, “This disappearance is out of character, and we are concerned for his well-being. We urge anyone with information to contact us immediately.”

The family has made an emotional appeal, urging the public, police, and all concerned authorities to come together in efforts to locate their son safely. In their message, the family expressed deep distress and hope, stating that they are seeking the support of the community and officials to help bring Prayag home without harm.

Investigators continue to follow leads and are urging residents across Edmonton and surrounding areas to remain alert and report any sightings or relevant information.
