Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): Haryana Minister of State for Sports Gaurav Gautam extended his greetings to the citizens of the state for the commendable achievements recorded during the twelve-year tenure of the current central and state administrations. Speaking under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, Gautam asserted that this period has witnessed comprehensive and inclusive development across the nation and the province, significantly strengthening the upliftment of the poorest sections of society and public welfare.

To ensure that the benefits of these welfare schemes reach every citizen, the minister announced that a special public relations and awareness campaign is being actively conducted across the state. As part of this initiative, Gautam addressed a press conference at the Public Works Department Rest House in Palwal to highlight the key achievements of the government. He emphasized that the past twelve years have been entirely dedicated to trust, development, and social welfare, leaving no stone unturned to empower youth, women, and farmers.

The Sports Minister noted that under Prime Minister Modi, India has established a new global identity, transitioning from the 11th largest economy in 2014 toward becoming the fourth largest economy in the world. He highlighted key national milestones, including the abrogation of Article 370, the implementation of One Rank-One Pension, the Citizenship Amendment Act, and major space missions like Chandrayaan-3. Over the past twelve years, more than 25 crore people have emerged from poverty, supported by programs such as the PM Awas Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, and the Ayushman Bharat health insurance scheme covering 60 crore citizens.

Gautam further discussed youth and women empowerment through schemes like Startup India, Skill India, and the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam, alongside agricultural support via the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. Turning his focus to the provincial level, the minister praised Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini for ensuring equitable development across Haryana. He highlighted significant regional advancements in national highways, metro connectivity, housing, and social security, notably through the Ayushman Bharat-Chirayu Yojana, Mhara Gaon-Jagmag Gaon Yojana, and Haryana’s landmark initiative of procuring all 24 crops at the Minimum Support Price.
