Time-Bound Redressal of Public Grievances Is Government’s Top Priority: Aarti Singh Rao

Chandigarh, January 7, 2026 — Haryana Health Minister Aarti Singh Rao on Tuesday said that ensuring the timely resolution of public grievances remains the government’s foremost priority, as she conducted a public hearing at her official residence in Chandigarh.

People from various districts of the state attended the interaction, raising concerns related to health services and other public interest issues. The minister patiently heard each grievance and issued clear instructions to concerned departmental officials to ensure swift and effective resolution.

Emphasising accountability, Rao directed senior officers present at the meeting to dispose of all complaints within a fixed timeframe and to ensure regular monitoring of progress. She said matters that can be resolved immediately should not be delayed, while in more complex cases, complainants must be kept informed about the status of action taken. Transparency and responsibility in governance, she added, are key indicators of good administration.

The health minister said public hearings serve as a strong platform for direct communication between the government and citizens. Such interactions not only help authorities understand ground-level issues but also contribute to strengthening the administrative system. The government’s objective, she noted, is to ensure that no citizen has to struggle to access government services.

Highlighting the growing role of technology, Rao said digital tools are being increasingly adopted to make public services faster, more transparent and efficient. She instructed officials to further strengthen the online grievance redressal system so that citizens can register complaints from home and track their status easily.

Reaffirming the state government’s commitment to public welfare, the minister said continuous efforts are being made to improve the healthcare sector. She assured that public concerns would be addressed with seriousness and that such public interaction programmes would continue in the future.

She stressed that a healthy Haryana is the foundation of a strong Haryana and achieving this goal requires collective efforts from the government, administration and society.
Separately, the health minister announced that approval has been granted to upgrade the sub-health centre in Sidharawali village of Gurugram district into a Primary Health Centre. An allocation of approximately ₹36 lakh has also been sanctioned for staff appointments at the facility.
