Birbhum (Rajeev Sharma): A pre-dawn fire at a hotel in West Bengal's Birbhum district claimed four lives on Monday, with devotees who had travelled to Tarapith for Sawan Monday reportedly among those staying at the premises. The fire broke out at around 4 am, catching hotel occupants off guard while many of them were asleep. The incident occurred amid a heavy influx of devotees in Tarapith for the religious observance.
