Focus on Timely Disposal of SIR Notices and Hearings in Haryana

Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh) — The Election Commission has directed electoral officials across Haryana to prioritize the swift and time-bound disposal of notices and pending hearings under the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR). A comprehensive district-wise assessment indicates that out of a total of 4,491,923 notices generated across the state, 343,127 hearing cases remain pending, which translates to a pendency rate of 7.64 percent.
