Chandigarh/Amritsar (Gurpreet Singh): In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, Punjab Police’s Counter Intelligence unit in Amritsar has busted a narcotics smuggling module, arresting two operatives and recovering 7 kg of heroin, Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav said on Wednesday.The accused have been identified as Inderjeet Singh, a resident of Tarn Taran, and Ravinder Sharma from Amritsar. Tarn Taran (Punjab), March 31, 2025 – In a major crackdown under Punjab’s anti-drug campaign “Yudh Nashean Virudh”, Tarn Taran Police arrested a key drug smuggler with connections to Pakistan and USA-based syndicates.
