New Delhi (Gurpreet Singh): Former Delhi Chief Secretary Rakesh Mehta died by suicide at his apartment in Noida on September 6, police officials confirmed on Tuesday. The 74-year-old retired 1975-batch Indian Administrative Service officer was found hanging from a ceiling fan inside his residence in Sector 82. Law enforcement recovered a suicide note from the flat in which Mehta cited severe mental and physical health issues as the reason for ending his life.
