Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): The Haryana government has prepared proposals worth Rs 2,295.27 crore for rural infrastructure projects covering irrigation, roads, drinking water supply and storage infrastructure. Of the total, Rs 2,180.50 crore in loan assistance has been proposed under NABARD’s Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF). Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi reviewed the progress of infrastructure projects being implemented with NABARD assistance at a meeting on Monday. CHANDIGARH (Balwinder Singh) — In a significant move to bridge the urban-rural divide and decentralize administrative services, the Haryana government will construct 582 "Village Knowledge Centres" across the state with financial collaboration from the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD). The initiative entails a total outlay of ₹514.53 crore, with roughly ₹88.33 lakh earmarked for each centre.
