Dehradun, October 8: The Uttarakhand government has taken a major step against illegal madrasas operating in the state. Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami announced that madrasas failing to align their curriculum with the state government’s education board will face closure.Addressing the issue, CM Dhami stated that Uttarakhand, being Devbhumi (Land of the Gods), should provide proper education and values to children. Several madrasas were found operating illegally, with substandard teaching levels and suspicious student identities, including some from Bangladesh and Rohingya communities.
