Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh)— In a major international validation of its digital governance, the Haryana Space Applications Centre secured the prestigious Geospatial Excellence Award at the Geospatial World Forum 2026. The global recognition celebrates Haryana’s innovative "Space to Citizen Service" framework, an integrated geo-enabled system designed to assist farmers, track crop health, and streamline environmental resources across the state. Operating under the Citizen Resources Information Department, HARSAC developed the platform to provide real-time spatial analytics for over 1.5 million farmers across 10 million distinct agricultural plots each cropping season.
