Gurpreet Singh :- In a major breakthrough in the ongoing crackdown against narcotics trafficking, Punjab Police has dismantled an international drug smuggling network in a joint operation carried out by the State Special Operation Cell (SSOC), Amritsar, and Counter Intelligence Punjab. Two suspects were arrested during the operation, and 64.62 kilograms of heroin was recovered from their possession near Mahal village in Amritsar district. Preliminary investigations have revealed that the network had links with foreign-based handlers as well as traffickers operating from across the border in Pakistan.
