Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh) — The Haryana Legislative Assembly on Monday admitted a breach of privilege motion against Congress MLA Jassi Petwar for allegedly making derogatory remarks and casting aspersions on the conduct of the assembly speaker through social media. The motion, tabled on the second day of the ongoing monsoon session by Public Health Engineering Minister Ranbir Gangwa, received the backing of more than 15 legislators before being accepted by the chair and officially referred to the Committee of Privileges for an inquiry.
