Ottawa (Rajeev Sharma): Canada has named Angad Singh Dhillon as its next Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United Arab Emirates, bringing a diplomat with family connections to Punjab into a significant overseas posting. The appointment was announced on September 25 by Foreign Affairs Minister Anita Anand. Dhillon will succeed Radha Krishna Panday as Canada’s top diplomatic representative in the UAE. Dhillon has most recently served as Director of Operations and Stakeholder Relations in Prime Minister Mark Carney’s Office. During his time there, he was involved in efforts to strengthen Canada’s engagement with major international partners, including India and China.…
