Fatehgarh Sahib, November 14, 2025: SSP Shubham Agarwal has issued a strong warning to those spreading misleading videos and creating panic through social media platforms. He said strict action will be taken against individuals indulging in such mischievous activities.
The SSP said the district’s Cyber Cell is fully active and monitoring various social media platforms round the clock. He cautioned that uploading or forwarding unverified videos, posts or messages on WhatsApp or any other platform is a punishable offence. Anyone found involved in such acts will not be spared, he added.
Appealing to citizens, Agarwal requested residents to immediately inform the police if they come across any panic-creating post, video or message related to the district on social media or WhatsApp groups. People can report such content to the District Police Control Room at 85588-18100, and the identity of the informant will be kept confidential.
