Chandigarh, March 30, 2025: The Punjab Government has announced the launch of ‘Aarambh,’ a groundbreaking program designed to actively involve parents in their children’s early learning through engaging, play-based activities.
Social Security, Women, and Child Development Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur unveiled the initiative, stressing its focus on building a robust educational foundation for young children by nurturing their cognitive, emotional, and social development.
The ‘Aarambh’ program will initially be implemented in eight districts: Ludhiana, SAS Nagar, Patiala, Sangrur, Sri Muktsar Sahib, Tarn Taran, Ropar, and Amritsar. The program is set to launch imminently, serving as a pilot for subsequent expansion throughout Punjab.
“‘Aarambh’ is not merely an educational program; it is a vital step in enhancing the parent-child relationship through meaningful learning experiences,” Dr. Baljit Kaur stated. The initiative aims to provide parents with accessible tools to support their children’s education within the home, making early learning more interactive and impactful.
The Minister pledged to provide detailed implementation plans in the coming months and encouraged parents and educators to actively participate in the program.
Dr. Baljit Kaur reiterated the Punjab Government’s dedication, under Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, to the comprehensive development of children.
She concluded by emphasizing the pivotal role of initiatives like ‘Aarambh’ in shaping the future of Punjab’s youth and contributing to the vision of a ‘Rangla Punjab’—a state flourishing in education, culture, and development.
