Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): A significant number of prominent political and cooperative leaders from Punjab officially joined the Bharatiya Janata Party during a high-profile induction ceremony. The political joining was presided over by Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini at his official residence, Sant Kabir Kutir, in Chandigarh. The event saw a large gathering of senior party workers, including Indri legislator Ram Kumar Kashyap, who welcomed the new members into the organizational fold.
Among the key figures switching allegiances were Harpreet Chhattha, the president of the Patiala Land Mortgage Bank, and Amandeep Kamboj, the president of the Patiala Sabzi Mandi and Arhtiya Association. Chief Minister Saini formally welcomed the leaders by draping them in the party’s traditional saffron scarves. Along with these prominent institutional heads, the induction included various office-bearers from mainstream opposition parties and more than two dozen active sarpanches, panches, and former village heads from across Punjab’s rural sectors.
Welcoming the new inductees, Chief Minister Saini expressed immense confidence that their entry would significantly strengthen the party’s grassroots organizational structure across Punjab. He emphasized that the wave of new memberships reflects the widespread public trust in the developmental policies led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He reiterated that the party remains strictly committed to its core philosophy of inclusive growth and collective effort for the welfare of every community.
