Amritsar (Gurpreet Singh): Bollywood actor and Punjab Kings co-owner Preity Zinta visited the revered Golden Temple on Saturday night, where she paid obeisance and sought blessings ahead of her team’s upcoming IPL fixture.
During her visit to the sacred shrine, Preity bowed before the Guru Granth Sahib and prayed for peace, prosperity, and the well-being of all. Her arrival drew attention from devotees present at the temple complex, with several admirers gathering to greet her and click pictures.
Demonstrating humility and devotion, the actor also participated in langar seva, serving food to devotees in the community kitchen. The gesture was widely appreciated by visitors, who praised her simplicity and spiritual connection.
Speaking briefly to reporters after the visit, Preity said she felt spiritually called to come to the shrine. She shared that Punjab Kings have an important match scheduled on May 11 and expressed hope that divine blessings would guide the team to success.
She also spoke warmly about team captain Shreyas Iyer, mentioning that fans in Punjab lovingly refer to him as “Sarpanch,” which she described as a matter of pride for the franchise.
