Karnal (Gurpreet Singh): The notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for a firing incident at the residence of Gurpartap Kang, the manager of renowned Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh. The attack reportedly took place late Tuesday night in Gondar village, located in the Karnal district of Haryana. According to a social media post attributed to gang members Tyson Bishnoi, Aarzoo Bishnoi, and Hari Boxer, multiple shots were fired at the property using high-precision Austrian-made weapons. This incident has sent shockwaves through the Punjabi entertainment industry, marking a significant escalation in threats against high-profile celebrities and their management teams.
The social media statement released by the gang characterized the shooting as a third warning directed at Dosanjh and his core team. The group alleged that their actions were prompted by reports of misconduct by a specific employee associated with the singer’s band. Specifically, the post claimed that a woman from Punjab was harassed and subsequently abandoned during a recent tour of Australia. The gang further alleged that they had received several complaints from other women regarding similar inappropriate behaviour and that previous warnings to managers Sonali and Gurpartap to distance themselves from the accused employee had been ignored.
Despite the severity of the threat, the gang noted that they are currently exercising a degree of restraint because Diljit Dosanjh represents India on an international stage. However, the message concluded with a stern ultimatum, warning of more serious consequences if their demands to remove the individual in question are not met. The post explicitly stated that the attack was intended as a warning rather than an attempt at financial extortion, focusing instead on what they described as the protection of regional honour.
The Karnal police have initiated a thorough investigation into the matter and are currently working to verify the authenticity of the social media claims. Senior officials confirmed that forensic teams have visited the site in Gondar village to collect evidence and assess the ballistic details of the firing. Security has been heightened around the residence, and authorities are reviewing local surveillance footage to identify the assailants. As of Wednesday morning, neither Diljit Dosanjh nor his official management team has issued a formal statement regarding the incident or the allegations made by the gang.
