Vancouver (Amrit Dhot): India’s business, craftsmanship and entrepreneurial strength took centre stage in Vancouver Friday, as a high-level delegation led by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India brought Indian enterprises face-to-face with Canadian business leaders to explore new avenues for trade, partnerships and market expansion.
Hosted by the Consulate General of India, Vancouver, the Business Roundtable cum Networking and Breakfast formed part of the 9th edition of Namaste Canada 2026, creating a high-profile platform for Indian companies and Canadian businesses to connect, exchange ideas and explore commercial opportunities.


The successful gathering brought together representatives of the visiting Indian delegation, Canadian business leaders and companies participating virtually from India, turning the event into a focused forum for cross-border business networking.
Representing a wide spectrum of India’s traditional and premium industries, participating enterprises showcased heritage crafts, sustainable lifestyle products, premium food and beverages, textiles, jewellery, fragrances, and corporate and premium gifting.
The event went beyond product promotion, providing participating businesses with an opportunity to discuss potential collaborations, understand market opportunities and build connections with prospective Canadian partners.
The Vancouver engagement highlighted how India’s rich heritage and craftsmanship are increasingly being presented alongside entrepreneurship and international business opportunities, adding a strong commercial dimension to Namaste Canada 2026.
The successful roundtable also underscored the role of the Consulate General of India, Vancouver in bringing businesses and entrepreneurs together and facilitating greater economic and commercial engagement between India and Canada.
