I Will Serve the People of India Till My Last Breath”: PM Modi Takes Aim at Opposition

New Delhi (Rajeev Sharma): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday, October 30, 2026, reaffirmed his commitment to serving the people of India until his last breath, amid a political controversy triggered by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge’s recent remark targeting him.

Addressing a gathering, Modi accused the Opposition of spreading panic over the availability of fertilisers and cooking gas amid the ongoing conflict in West Asia. He alleged that some opposition leaders appeared to celebrate whenever India faced a crisis instead of standing together in the national interest.

The Prime Minister said farmers, youth and women were working hard towards building a developed India, but expressed concern that some people were uncomfortable with the country’s progress.

Emphasising national unity and public welfare, Modi reiterated that his commitment to serving the people and contributing to India’s development would continue until his last breath. The remarks have added another chapter to the ongoing political exchange between the BJP and Congress, bringing national responsibility, public welfare and political accountability into focus.
