Health Department to recruit 69 Physiotherapists; new CHCs approved for Ujhana and Sambhli

Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): Haryana Health Minister Arti Singh Rao announced on Thursday, April 23, 2026, that the state government is moving forward with the recruitment of 69 physiotherapists to fill vacancies within the Health Department. A revised requisition has been sent to the Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC), increasing the initial requirement from 54 to 69 posts. This move is part of the state’s broader effort to strengthen paramedical services and ensure that specialized rehabilitation care is accessible across public health institutions.

In addition to the recruitment drive, the state government has granted approval for the construction of two new Community Health Centres (CHCs) in the Jind and Karnal districts. A budget of ₹2195.46 lakh has been sanctioned for the CHC in village Ujhana (Jind), while the facility in village Sambhli (Karnal) has been allocated ₹2322.37 lakh. These new centres are designed to provide comprehensive primary and secondary healthcare services to rural populations, reducing their dependence on distant district hospitals.

Minister Arti Singh Rao further directed health officials to expedite the process of identifying and establishing sub-health centres, PHCs, and CHCs in rural areas where medical facilities are currently lacking. She emphasized that the state’s priority is to ensure that affordable and high-quality healthcare reaches every village in a timely and systematic manner. By expanding both the medical workforce and infrastructure, the Haryana government aims to enhance the overall health indicators of the rural population while making essential services more convenient for residents.
