Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): Haryana is actively laying the groundwork to develop the state into a premier artificial intelligence hub, driven by continuous digital empowerment initiatives under Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. Speaking in Chandigarh on Monday, Health Minister Arti Singh Rao affirmed the government’s resolve to harness cutting-edge technology and artificial intelligence to establish a transparent, prompt, and accountable governance architecture for residents across rural and urban landscapes.
Highlighting the expansion of e-governance infrastructure, Rao noted that 25,201 Atal Seva Kendras have been registered statewide to bridge service delivery gaps, comprising 17,085 centres in rural belts and 8,116 in urban areas. Through the unified Antyodaya Saral portal, citizens can access 946 digital services and welfare schemes spanning 75 government departments, boards, and corporations from home. Furthermore, Haryana has become a frontrunner in integrating the DigiLocker platform, making 228 varieties of official certificates and documents verifiable in digital formats.
To expand regional connectivity and streamline administrative workflows, the government has set up 8,468 public Wi-Fi hotspots across gram panchayats, while 44 departments and all district offices have transitioned to paperless operations via the e-Office system. District portals and a dedicated Lokayukta portal have also been operationalized to boost civic accountability.
Public grievance redressal remains a focal area for the state administration. Rao shared that district-level CM Window outlets have resolved more than 1.53 million public complaints up to August 31, 2026. A dedicated in-house Social Media Grievance Tracker monitors community feedback across public networks, complemented by an auto-escalation mechanism that transfers overdue applications directly to the appellate authority if delivery deadlines are missed.
