Haryana Launches Online Registration Portal to Extend Welfare Benefits to Ex-CAPF Personnel

Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): Haryana Sainik and Ardh Sainik Welfare Minister Rao Narbir Singh announced the launch of an online registration process for ex-Central Armed Police Forces personnel and their families on the department’s official website. With this initiative, Haryana becomes the first state in the country to extend comprehensive welfare benefits to retired CAPF personnel on par with defense veterans. The dedicated portal aims to streamline the distribution of welfare benefits, ensure support reaches the families of martyred personnel, and recognize the immense contribution of those who secured the nation’s borders and internal security.

The online registration process, available on the official website, is open to all ex-CAPF veterans from organizations including the BSF, CRPF, ITBP, CISF, SSB, and Assam Rifles. Upon successful registration, veterans and their eligible family members will be issued official CAPF identity cards through the department. Additionally, the digital platform will serve as an administrative channel to resolve long-pending discrepancies or errors in the service records of veterans, providing a simplified grievance redressal mechanism.

Emphasizing the government’s commitment to inclusive welfare, the Minister directed department officials to launch an extensive awareness campaign to ensure that veterans residing in the remotest corners of the state are informed. He urged all eligible ex-CAPF personnel and their dependents to complete their registration promptly on the state portal to secure timely access to financial aid, government schemes, and support services.
