Chandigarh (Gurpreet Singh): The Haryana government has accelerated the implementation of the Haryana Contractual Employees (Security of Service) Rules, 2025, by setting a firm deadline of August 15, 2026, to complete the verification of eligible contractual workers and issue their official service security offer letters. This initiative aims to pave the way for thousands of temporary workers across various government departments, boards, corporations, and public authorities to receive long-term job security benefits.
To ensure the process moves smoothly, Rajesh Khullar, the Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, will chair a high-level review meeting on July 8 at 10:00 AM at the PWD Rest House in Panchkula. The meeting will focus on evaluating the progress made by different state departments in verifying eligible employees through the designated Service Security Portal.
According to an official communication issued by Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, all heads of departments, boards, and corporations have been strictly directed to attend this review meeting in person. The state administration has made it clear that no representatives or subordinate officers will be permitted to attend on behalf of department heads, emphasizing the high priority placed on the timely execution of this directive.
Departments have been instructed to present updated reports on their portal activities during the upcoming meeting. Those that have not yet initiated the verification process have been told to log onto the portal immediately. To prevent administrative delays, the Human Resources Department and the Haryana Knowledge Corporation Limited (HKCL) will remain on standby to resolve any login issues, data update errors, or other technical glitches encountered by the staff.
As part of the session, HKCL will conduct a comprehensive demonstration of the Service Security Portal, detailing its workflows, approval mechanisms, report generation features, and troubleshooting protocols. Department heads will also receive practical training during the meeting to help them independently manage the platform and conclude the verification process within the state’s established timeline.
