Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): The Haryana government has extended the deadline to apply for the Mahila Samarth Sansthan Award Scheme to November 20, 2026. The scheme aims to recognise and encourage institutions that provide women employees with safe, respectful and positive working environments.
The Women and Child Development Department is implementing the initiative to promote workplace safety, dignity and equal opportunities for women.
A department spokesperson said online applications had been invited from eligible institutions across five award categories. With the deadline now extended, eligible organisations have been asked to submit their applications through the designated portal by November 20.
The scheme seeks to acknowledge institutions that prioritise the safety and well-being of women employees and take steps to ensure a supportive workplace.
