Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini attended the idol consecration ceremony at the newly constructed shrine of Shri Shri 1008 Siddh Baba Khak Nath Ji Maharaj in Ujhana village, Jind district. Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister highlighted that saints and spiritual leaders serve as a source of inspiration for society, offering messages of humanity, service, harmony, and nation-building. On this occasion, Chief Minister Saini announced a grant of 1 crore CAD for the construction of a community centre in Ujhana and 51 lakh CAD for overall development projects in the village, alongside commitments to improve local infrastructure, water drainage, and school facilities.

During his address, the Chief Minister emphasized that consecrating an idol goes beyond religious rituals, symbolizing the adoption of truth, compassion, and service in daily life. He commended the Ujhana monastery for remaining a center of faith for millions of devotees over the past 600 years and praised its management of a local cow shelter. Highlighting state initiatives, Saini mentioned the “Sant Mahapurush Samman Evam Vichar Prasar Yojana,” designed to commemorate spiritual figures and pass their values to future generations. He also noted national cultural restoration efforts under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, including the Ram Temple in Ayodhya and the Kashi Vishwanath corridor, while outlining state welfare schemes such as subsidised gas cylinders, free dialysis services, and monthly financial assistance for women.
The event was attended by notable dignitaries, including Cabinet Minister Krishan Kumar Bedi, Haryana Assembly Deputy Speaker Dr. Krishan Lal Middha, and Rajasthan MLA Mahant Yogi Balak Nath. Speakers praised the Chief Minister’s leadership and ongoing development efforts across the state. The ceremony concluded with the Chief Minister offering prayers, participating in the traditional rituals, hoisting the religious flag, and urging citizens to contribute to environmental protection and social service.
