Haryana Approves Eight New Sub-Health Centres Across Rural Nuh to Strengthen Primary Healthcare

Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): In a major initiative to bolster rural healthcare infrastructure and make primary medical services easily accessible to local communities, the Haryana government has sanctioned the opening of eight new Sub-Health Centres across rural pockets of Nuh district. Announcing the administrative clearance on Monday, Haryana Health, Medical Education, and AYUSH Minister Arti Singh Rao stated that the move will substantially enhance both the accessibility and quality of primary healthcare delivery in the region.

The decision has been executed in pursuance of the budgetary announcement made by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini regarding the establishment of 100 new Sub-Health Centres across the state. Under the sanctioned plan, the new medical facilities will be set up in the villages of Manota, Khanpur Ghati, Jharpuri, Salamba, Badli, Gurnawat, Papra, and Raypuri. To expedite implementation, the respective Gram Panchayats have already adopted resolutions consenting to provide free land as well as temporary building structures for setting up and operating the centres.

The Health Minister noted that the selection of all eight sites was finalized through Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping, verifying that each location strictly adheres to prescribed population thresholds and caters effectively to underserved local requirements.

Highlighting the practical impact on rural residents, Arti Singh Rao emphasized that the establishment of these facilities will significantly widen the healthcare network across rural Nuh, eliminating the need for patients to travel long distances for essential medical attention and preventative care. She reiterated that the state government remains dedicated to delivering quality primary healthcare at the doorstep of citizens in remote and agrarian areas.
