Commercial LPG Cylinder Prices Increase From November 1, Check Latest Rates In 5 Cities

Commercial LPG Cylinder Price Cut by Rs 58.50 from July 1; No Change in Domestic Rates

New Delhi (Gurpreet Singh): Businesses that rely on commercial cooking gas will have to pay more from November 1, 2026, after the latest revision in LPG prices. The cost of a 19-kg commercial cylinder has increased by Rs 10 in Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata, while consumers in Chennai will pay Rs 11.50 more per cylinder. Bengaluru has also recorded a Rs 10 increase.

The revision comes ahead of Diwali, when hotels, restaurants, dhabas and catering businesses typically prepare for increased activity. In contrast, the prices of 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinders have remained unchanged.

What Are the New Commercial LPG Cylinder Prices?

The revised rates took effect on November 1. Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata have seen an increase of Rs 10 per cylinder, while Chennai has recorded the highest increase among the listed cities at Rs 11.50.

The latest reported prices of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders are:

CityRevised pricePrice increase
DelhiRs 2,820Rs 10
MumbaiRs 2,774.50Rs 10
KolkataRs 2,964Rs 10
ChennaiRs 2,994.50Rs 11.50
BengaluruRs 2,908Rs 10

Among these cities, Chennai has the highest reported commercial cylinder price at Rs 2,994.50, followed by Kolkata at Rs 2,964. Mumbai has the lowest rate among the five cities listed, at Rs 2,774.50.

Why Could Restaurants and Dhabas Face Higher Expenses?

Commercial LPG is an essential fuel for professional kitchens, including those operated by restaurants, hotels, roadside eateries and catering companies. Any increase in cylinder prices adds to the cost of preparing food and running these establishments.

The financial impact will vary depending on how much gas a business consumes. An outlet using only a few cylinders a month may see a limited increase in expenses, while a large restaurant or hotel that requires multiple cylinders daily could face a more noticeable rise in its monthly fuel bill.

Businesses will have to absorb the additional expense or consider adjustments to their operating budgets. Any decision to increase menu prices, however, will depend on individual businesses and cannot be assumed solely from the LPG revision.

Commercial Gas Prices Have Increased Over Three Consecutive Months

The latest revision follows two earlier monthly increases, according to the figures cited in the source report.

Since August, the cumulative increase in commercial LPG cylinder prices has reached Rs 82 in Delhi. Kolkata has recorded a rise of Rs 98.50, while Mumbai has seen an increase of Rs 83.50. Chennai’s cumulative increase over the same period stands at Rs 88.50.

These successive revisions have raised fuel expenses for businesses that depend on commercial LPG. The November increase adds to the pressure on food-service operators managing several other costs, including ingredients, wages, rent and electricity.

Have Domestic LPG Cylinder Prices Also Increased?

No. The November 1 revision has not changed the reported prices of standard 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinders used in households.

The rates in four major cities remain as follows:

CityDomestic LPG price
DelhiRs 942
MumbaiRs 941.50
KolkataRs 968
ChennaiRs 957.50

According to the source report, domestic cylinder prices were last increased in June.

The latest revision therefore affects commercial LPG users, while households continue to pay the existing reported rates for domestic cylinders. Consumers should check the latest rates applicable to their city when booking a refill, as prices may vary by location.
