New Delhi (Gurpreet Singh): The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has reiterated its resolve to maintain a continuous sit-in at Jantar Mantar, demanding the immediate resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The party’s statement arrived shortly after activist Sonam Wangchuk called off his 26-day fast following high-level deliberations with Union Ministers J.P. Nadda and Jitendra Singh.
In a public message on X, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke expressed immense relief at Wangchuk concluding his strike, lauding the activist for placing his life on the line to elevate student concerns into a national dialogue. Dipke highlighted that Wangchuk’s commitment successfully rallied widespread public support and exposed deep-seated issues within the examination framework.
Despite the end of the hunger strike, the CJP affirmed that its peaceful demonstration in the capital will not subside. The political group has been demanding overhaul-level transparency and minister accountability following widespread allegations surrounding the NEET paper leak controversy.
With Wangchuk ending his fast, student organizations and opposition leaders continue to monitor the federal response, while CJP demonstrators vow to remain at Jantar Mantar until accountability is established at the highest level.
