CALGARY POLICE INVESTIGATE SUNRIDGE HOMICIDE AFTER SUSPICIOUS DEATH CONFIRMED

Calgary (Rajeev Sharma): Police has launched a homicide investigation following a suspicious death in the Sunridge area of northeast Calgary. The victim has been identified as Jerry Wayne Bull, 42, of Calgary, after an autopsy was completed on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. Police confirmed that the death has now been officially ruled a homicide.

According to investigators, an individual who was taken into custody at the scene has been remanded on unrelated outstanding warrants. Authorities have confirmed that this person has not been charged in connection with the homicide.

The Calgary Police Service Homicide Unit remains actively involved in the investigation and is working to determine the circumstances that led to the fatal incident. Police have stated that, at this time, no further details are being released. Authorities are urging anyone who may have information related to the case to come forward.
