Body found in Clearwater County being investigated as homicide : Mounties

Canada | A body found by hunters in a remote wooded area in Clearwater County is being investigated as a homicide, Alberta RCMP said. Along with Alberta Fish and Wildlife, Mounties confirmed the individual is a man who had injuries and died recently. Police say the Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation. RCMP Cpl. Lou Leroux says little information can be released on the case pending an autopsy set for early next week. Clearwater County is a large area which includes Rocky Mountain House and is bordered by Banff and Red Deer.

41 year old man facing murder charge in death of wife in Oshawa

Canada | A 41-year-old man is facing a murder charge after what police say is a case of intimate partner violence in Oshawa. Durham police were called to a home on Eulalie Avenue near Ritson Road and King Street East awhere they found a 48-year-old woman suffering from obvious signs of trauma. The woman was taken to a trauma centre in Toronto where she was later pronounced dead. The woman’s husband was taken into custody and has been charged with first-degree murder.
