AAP Targets BJP Over Triple Murder in Lucknow, Questions Claims on Law and Order

Lucknow (Gurpreet Singh): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP and Uttar Pradesh Prabhari Sanjay Singh has questioned the BJP government’s claims of strong law and order after 3 people, Shiva Tiwari, Suryansh Tiwari and Shivendra Tiwari, were murdered in broad daylight in Lucknow’s Saadatganj area. He highlighted the contrast between the BJP’s criticism of law and order in opposition-ruled states and its silence over repeated killings in Uttar Pradesh.

The senior AAP leader also raised concerns over the appointment of Abhay Singh, who is under Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) investigation in a bribery case, as observer for vote counting in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council (MLC) elections in the Gorakhpur region.

Addressing a press conference on Monday, senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh stated, “BJP talks about strong law and order and claims that criminals tremble with fear in Uttar Pradesh. BJP says no criminal has the courage to walk with their head held high. But the case involving Shiva Sharma took place right here in the state capital, Lucknow, and now three people have been murdered.”

He continued, “The case involving Shraddha Dubey was already ongoing. In Lucknow’s Saadatganj area, a case concerning a land dispute had been pending at the police station since Sunday night, yet Shiva Tiwari, Suryansh Tiwari and Shivendra Tiwari were murdered in broad daylight. Where is BJP’s law and order?”

Sanjay Singh further stated, “The country’s Home Minister, Amit Shah, is going to Punjab to improve its law and order. Gaurav Bhatia holds press conferences in Delhi, claiming that they will improve law and order in Punjab. Whenever even a single incident takes place there, these people make a huge noise about it.”

“But right under their noses, 3 people have been murdered in broad daylight in Uttar Pradesh’s capital, Lucknow, and they have no answers. What kind of law and order is this? Murder after murder, one incident following another and then a third, is taking place across Uttar Pradesh. Yet the minds of BJP leaders are occupied only with ideas of electoral irregularities,” he asserted.

The AAP Uttar Pradesh Prabhari added, “The Legislative Council (MLC) elections have just taken place, during which MLC candidates were subjected to misbehaviour and indecent treatment. Sanjay Tripathi is contesting from the Gorakhpur region, and Abhay Singh has been appointed as the observer for the vote counting there. Abhay Singh himself is under the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) scanner and is an accused in a case involving allegations of taking bribes from mining mafias. We have received information that, by appointing a person facing corruption allegations to this position, these people intend to manipulate Tuesday’s vote counting.”
