Ghaziabad (Gurpreet Singh): Police in Ghaziabad are investigating an explosion reported at the Vasundhara Police Outpost in the Indirapuram area, where shattered glass injured a delivery worker on Friday night.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Rijul Kumar told ANI that the incident occurred at approximately 9 pm on November 6. The impact broke the glass panes of two windows and left a crack at the police facility. Although officers were present inside at the time, none was hurt.

A delivery worker suffered a head injury after being struck by a flying glass fragment. He was taken to a hospital for treatment and has since recovered fully, the DCP said.

Following the incident, the Bomb Squad and forensic personnel inspected the premises and gathered samples for laboratory examination. A dog squad also searched the location as part of the initial assessment.

Kumar said the inspection did not reveal any traces of gunpowder, explosive substances or other similar materials. The samples collected by the forensic team have been forwarded for detailed analysis.

Investigators are also examining a social media message in which a group identifying itself as Tehreek-e-Mujahideen allegedly claimed responsibility for the blast. The DCP said the claim is being verified and the investigation is continuing.

Police have yet to establish what caused the explosion.
