New Delhi (Rajeev Sharma): A tragic incident was reported from East Delhi on Wednesday after a nine-year-old girl studying in Class III at Lovely Public School in Mayur Vihar died after suddenly collapsing inside her classroom.
According to police officials, a PCR call was received at approximately 9:52 am on November 4, informing authorities about the child’s death. Following the incident, the girl was taken to Malik Redix Health Care in Nirman Vihar, where medical professionals declared her brought dead.
As part of the preliminary investigation, police examined CCTV recordings from the school. The footage reportedly captured the moment when the young student suddenly fell inside the classroom, prompting investigators to look into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Authorities are now collecting relevant evidence to establish what happened before the girl collapsed. Statements from her parents and representatives of the school management are yet to be recorded as part of the ongoing inquiry.
Police are also examining the available CCTV footage and other material that could help clarify the sequence of events.
The exact cause of the child’s death remains unknown, and officials have not yet established whether any underlying medical condition or other factor contributed to the incident.
