New Delhi (Gurpreet Singh): Former Punjab MLA Kunwar Vijay Partap Singh visited Gurdwara Bangla Sahib in New Delhi on Monday, hours after resigning from the Punjab Assembly, as he prepared to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Singh was accompanied by Ravi Karan Singh Kahlon during the visit. At the gurdwara, head granthi Giani Ranjit Singh blessed him.
According to a report by Babushahi Network, Singh is expected to formally join the BJP later on Monday. Former AAP leaders Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra and Chetan Singh Joremajra are also expected to join the party alongside him.
Singh’s visit to the prominent Sikh shrine came amid the political developments surrounding his resignation from the Punjab Assembly. The formal joining ceremony was expected to take place later in the day.
