Diljit Dosanjh’s Delhi Concert: Singer Gets Emotional After Seeing His Mother In Woman CRPF Officer

New Delhi (Gurpreet Singh): Singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh shared a deeply personal moment with a woman CRPF officer during his Delhi concert on October 30. In the middle of his performance, the singer stopped to recognise the security personnel stationed at the venue, before an interaction with one officer left him visibly emotional.

Addressing the audience, Diljit acknowledged the role of the police and security teams in keeping concertgoers safe. He asked the crowd to applaud them, pointing out that their presence allowed everyone to enjoy the event without worrying about their safety.

He told the gathering that people would not feel secure at the venue without the personnel carrying out their duties.

Diljit Dosanjh Sees A Reflection Of His Mother In CRPF Officer

The singer then invited a woman CRPF officer onto the stage. During their conversation, he told her that she reminded him of his mother.

Diljit spoke about how his busy schedule keeps him away from his family and that he gets very few opportunities to meet his mother, perhaps only once or twice in a year.

He also shared that his mother had called him earlier that day. Recalling her words, he said she had asked him to look after himself. Diljit told her that everything was fine and reassured her that she need not worry.

Looking at the woman officer, he explained that her presence brought back thoughts of his mother and made him feel as if his mother was standing before him.

In a tender gesture, the singer placed his hand gently on the officer’s head. The audience broke into applause as the emotional exchange unfolded on stage.

Delhi Concert: Diljit Thanks Police, CRPF And Metro Staff

After the concert, Diljit took to social media to express his appreciation for the people and organisations involved in making the event possible.

He thanked his Delhi audience and specifically acknowledged the efforts of Delhi Police, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and BookMyShow Live.

His message recognised not just the performers and organisers but also the security and support teams responsible for managing the large gathering.

Why The Singer’s Gesture Is Being Discussed

The interaction comes months after Delhi Police personnel drew attention during protests at Jantar Mantar. In July, videos shared on social media showed clashes between protesters and security staff during a march towards Parliament.

Diljit’s decision to pause his concert and publicly appreciate the personnel on duty has therefore attracted attention. However, the most memorable part of the episode was his personal conversation with the woman CRPF officer, whom he associated with the warmth and presence of his mother.
