Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh) — Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will lead a high-level official delegation on a three-day official visit to Singapore from October 4 to 6, aimed at accelerating foreign direct investment, technological collaboration, and industrial partnerships across high-growth sectors. The overseas outreach serves as a major precursor to the upcoming “Happening Haryana” Global Investors Summit scheduled for next year.
The visit aims to position Haryana as a globally competitive manufacturing and innovation destination, focusing on strategic industries such as semiconductors, advanced manufacturing, logistics and warehousing, agro- and food processing, Global Capability Centres (GCCs), aviation, and vocational education.
During the tour, the Chief Minister is scheduled to chair round-table conferences with prominent Singaporean trade bodies, corporate leaders, and domain experts. The state delegation will present detailed briefings highlighting Haryana’s industrial policies, strategic proximity to the National Capital Region, expanding freight corridors, multimodal logistics infrastructure, and skilled technical talent pool.
Saini will also hold structured one-on-one meetings with global conglomerates to invite them to establish local manufacturing hubs, setup R&D facilities, and integrate local supply chains with international trade channels. Emphasizing the state’s agricultural base, discussions will specifically target modern food processing, cold-chain logistics, and export-oriented value addition to expand global market access for regional agricultural produce. In logistics and civil aviation, Haryana seeks to leverage Singapore’s operational expertise in automated warehousing and integrated multimodal connectivity.
On October 6, the Chief Minister will interact with Indian diaspora entrepreneurs and the Sikh business community in Singapore, urging them to actively participate in the state’s socio-economic development and explore industrial ventures back home.
Accompanying the Chief Minister will be a delegation comprising senior officers from the Chief Minister’s Office and the Department of Industries and Commerce, tasked with delivering technical presentations and directly engaging with potential investors.
