Haryana Guarantees Complete Paddy Purchase as Nayab Singh Saini Inspects Ladwa Grain Market

Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh) — Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Friday assured growers that the state administration remains fully committed to safeguarding farmer interests, pledging that every single grain of paddy brought to state purchase centres will be procured without administrative hurdles. Emphasizing continuous monitoring, Saini stated that cabinet ministers, legislators, and senior administrative personnel are actively carrying out ground visits across regional markets to oversee procurement operations and ensure seamless transactions.

The Chief Minister made an unannounced inspection of the Ladwa grain market in Kurukshetra district on Friday evening to evaluate procurement arrangements on the ground. During the visit, Saini personally operated testing equipment to measure moisture levels in arriving crop consignments and directly engaged with local farmers and commission agents (arhtiyas) to address logistical bottlenecks. He noted that all district deputy commissioners have been instructed to monitor procurement workflows rigorously, with senior administrative officers assigned as dedicated nodal supervisors for every purchase yard.

Responding to demands from farmers and traders for an expedited and smooth purchase cycle, the Chief Minister urged growers to align harvesting schedules with established quality norms by bringing paddy within the prescribed 17 percent moisture threshold to prevent unnecessary delays in clearance. Key administrative figures accompanied Saini during the market assessment, including Chief Minister’s Office In-Charge Kailash Saini, Kurukshetra Deputy Commissioner Vishram Kumar Meena, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Rajesh Kumar Soni, Municipal Committee Chairperson Sakshi Khurana, and Market Committee Chairman Dr. Ganesh Dutt.
