Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said the vision of a developed India taking shape in children’s imagination today could become the reality of the country in the years ahead. He stressed the need to encourage young talent and provide children with platforms that promote creativity, values, a spirit of service and a sense of responsibility towards nation-building.
The Chief Minister made the remarks while addressing a Seva Sankalp Abhiyan and Nipuna Haryana district-level painting exhibition at Government Senior Secondary School in Kanipla, Kurukshetra, on Thursday.
During the programme, Saini unveiled the Madhav Auditorium and a mural dedicated to Madhav Sadashivrao Golwalkar, popularly known as ‘Shri Guru Ji’. He also visited the painting exhibition and planted a sapling on the school premises.
The event was attended by Gita Manishi Swami Gyananand Maharaj, former minister Subhash Sudha, Kurukshetra Deputy Commissioner Vishram Meena and other officials and dignitaries.
CM Announces Funds For Kanipla School And Village
Saini announced Rs 11 lakh for the installation of solar panels at the government school in Kanipla. He also announced Rs 21 lakh for development works in Kanipla village.
The Chief Minister said the programme was organised under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan being conducted to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday. As part of the campaign, painting and speech competitions were held from September 17 to 21 for students from Classes 3 to 12.
Selected entries from these competitions are being displayed at the district-level exhibition.
Children Showcase Their Vision Of Developed India
Congratulating the participating students, Saini said children bring their imagination to life through colours, while parents and teachers help give those dreams direction and confidence.
The exhibition features artwork around themes including Swachh Bharat, Atmanirbhar Bharat, environmental protection, service to society and the vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047.
He said the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan was not simply about remembering achievements but also about encouraging the younger generation to embrace service, dedication and nation-building.
The Chief Minister urged students to draw inspiration from 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public life and contribute to the country’s development. He also highlighted India’s progress in science, technology, innovation and space research, asking students to turn their aspirations into concrete goals.
Madhav Auditorium And Mural To Inspire Students
Saini said the paintings created by students at the school represent their vision for India’s future, while the mural of Shri Guru Ji in the Madhav Auditorium is intended to connect students with history, values and a sense of duty.
He said history provides roots, education gives wings, values provide direction and dreams give people the confidence to move forward.
According to the Chief Minister, Shri Guru Ji devoted his life to the nation and his life and ideas could continue to serve as a source of inspiration for younger generations.
He said the mural had been created to familiarise students with his life, thoughts and contribution to society and to preserve his memory.
Focus On AI, Coding And Modern Education
Saini said the Haryana government was working to strengthen the quality of education in government schools through technology, innovation and skill development.
He highlighted initiatives involving digital education, smart classrooms, tablets and e-learning, along with efforts to introduce students to artificial intelligence, coding and other digital skills.
The government is also promoting skill development at the school level and encouraging research and innovation in higher education.
The Chief Minister said programmes such as Super-100 and Buniyad are being run to provide students with better preparation and guidance for competitive examinations. He added that the number of Super-100 seats had been increased from 500 to 600.
Haryana Expands Language And Sports Opportunities
Saini said students also need to be prepared for opportunities in an increasingly globalised environment. Government schools in Haryana have introduced French language education, while an agreement has been signed for German language learning.
He added that preparations are underway to introduce Japanese and Korean language education in phases.
The government is also focusing on sports infrastructure in state-run schools. According to the Chief Minister, Rs 1 lakh has been provided this year for the development of sports grounds in every government high and senior secondary school.
CM Urges Students To Take Talent Beyond The Classroom
Saini encouraged students to ensure that the creativity displayed at the exhibition extends beyond their artwork.
He said the spirit of service should be reflected in their conduct, values in their personality, hard work in their studies and a sense of responsibility towards the nation in their lives.
Congratulating all students who participated in the Nipuna Haryana district-level art exhibition, the Chief Minister said the message emerging from Kanipla could inspire children across the state and contribute to building a stronger future for Haryana and India.
Swami Gyananand Calls Shri Guru Ji A Source Of Inspiration
Swami Gyananand Maharaj described the mural of Shri Guru Ji as a symbol of inspiration and commitment for the younger generation.
He said discussions around Sanatan culture, the Bhagavad Gita, traditions and life values should not necessarily be viewed through a political lens, as these subjects are connected with India’s cultural heritage and values.
He urged young people to draw inspiration from personalities such as Shri Guru Ji and work towards the welfare of society and the nation.
He also extended his best wishes for Ratna Chand Sardana’s work titled Apna Madhav.
