North Delta entrepreneur and former BC United candidate remains active in business and community initiatives
DELTA, B.C. (Rajeev Sharma): Amrit Pal Singh Dhot, a North Delta entrepreneur and longtime community advocate, is drawing renewed attention in the constituency as British Columbia prepares for the 2026 provincial election.
Dhot is the founder of the North Delta-based Dhot Group and has maintained an active presence in the local business and community landscape. His work has brought him into contact with small-business owners, families, seniors, youth and community organizations across Delta. Beyond his business activities, Dhot has participated in civic and community initiatives, including involvement with the Delta District Parents Advisory Council. His community engagement has focused on maintaining connections with residents and supporting initiatives involving families, youth and local organizations.
Dhot previously entered provincial politics when he was selected as the BC United candidate for Delta North ahead of the 2024 provincial election. His campaign was discontinued after BC United suspended its province-wide election campaign.
Since then, Dhot has continued to focus on his business activities and community involvement in North Delta. His continued presence at local initiatives has kept him connected with residents and organizations throughout the area.
Dhot has said that if an opportunity arises for him to contest Delta North in 2026, he would be prepared to step forward. Any future candidacy, however, would be subject to the applicable party nomination process and an official announcement.
His background combines entrepreneurship, business experience and community engagement, with a particular connection to local families, youth and the small-business sector. As attention gradually turns toward the next provincial vote, Dhot remains a familiar community figure in North Delta, where his business and grassroots involvement continue to shape his public profile.
