Ludhiana (Gurpreet Singh): Punjab Government Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian and Advisor for Culture and Tourism Deepak Bali announced that four shows of the play ‘Hamare Ram’ will be held at the Dr Manmohan Singh Auditorium of Punjab Agricultural University on September 25 & 26. Famous actor Ashutosh Rana will play the role of Ravana in the play. The show will be completely free of cost.
Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian said that there would be two shows of ‘Hamare Ram’ each day on September 25 & 26 at the Dr Manmohan Singh Auditorium of PAU, one at 2:00 PM in the afternoon and the other at 6:00 PM in the evening.
Minister Mundian appealed to the entire people of Ludhiana to must watch this show as renowned artists are participating in it. He said that in the live show on the history of Lord Shri Ram and his life, famous actor Ashutosh Rana Ji will also play a role.
Advisor for Culture and Tourism Deepak Bali, while giving detailed information about the ‘Hamare Ram’ show, said that Punjab is the birthplace of Sanatan and the entire intellectual journey of the Rigveda, Ramayana, Upanishads, Puranas and Mahabharata began from this land of Punjab.
Bali said that just as the government celebrated the 350th year of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib, the 650th year of Guru Ravidas Ji is being celebrated, and evenings dedicated to Lord Shiva, similarly, ‘Hamare Ram’ is now being organised.
Bali said that the Ramayana is a better way of life that inspires us to live a good life. He said that for the first time, the complete Ramayana is being presented in this manner through the play ‘Hamare Ram’, in which all four chapters, Aranya Kand, Luv-Kush Kand, Sundar Kand and Yudh Kand, have been shown.
He said that the Ramayana tells us how a son should obey his father’s command and fulfill one’s duty.
Deepak Bali said that 41 shows of ‘Hamare Ram’ have been organised across Punjab by Hon’ble Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. The first show began in Mohali and gradually, the show was held in different parts of Punjab.
Bali said that India’s renowned theatre artist and writer, a highly scholarly personality, Ashutosh Rana is playing the role of Ravana in it, while Rahul K. Bhuchar is playing the role of Lord Ram. He said that this is an extraordinary live show that one may never have seen before.
He said that when Lord Ram meets Luv-Kush, when he goes into 14 years of exile, the dialogue between Maharaj Dashrath and Lord Ram, and when Ravana dies, the dialogue between Ravana and Lakshman, all these are very emotional moments that tell us what things are important and necessary in life.
Bali said that in any part of India, a ticket for this play costs ₹10,000 per person, but here, for the promotion and propagation of Sanatan and to teach people a better way of life, Hon’ble Chief Minister Sardar Bhagwant Singh Mann is showing it free of cost. The entire expenditure is being borne by the Punjab Government.
Deepak Bali said that people can also get passes from their respective constituency MLAs, district presidents, office-bearers of the Traders Commission, office-bearers of the Sanatan Seva Samiti, district administration and BookMyShow. All passes are free and not a single penny will have to be paid.
Bali said that earlier, the play had been watched by Hon’ble Arvind Kejriwal Sahib. After watching it, he had said that he wanted the people of Punjab to watch this play. Watching it means that one gets the complete Ramayana.
Deepak Bali appealed to journalists, officers, MLAs and ministers to attend with their families, parents, elders and children.
Bali also thanked Vijay Kumar Sharma, National President of Sanatan Seva Samiti, under whose guidance and inspiration all this is taking place. He also thanked Varun Ji, Rupinder Ji and all other associates from Sanatan Seva Samiti. MLA Chaudhary Madan Lal Bagga, MLA Pappi Parashar, DC, ADC and other officers were also present on the occasion.
