Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has announced that reconstruction work will soon begin at 150 government schools across the state, with the government allocating Rs 400 crore for the project.
Speaking during programmes in the Ladwa Assembly constituency on Sunday, Saini said the schools were identified after a survey of educational institutions across Haryana.
The Chief Minister said better school infrastructure would provide students with improved learning facilities and help young people contribute towards the goal of a developed India.
Rs 80,000 Assistance For Families With Kutcha Roofs
Saini also announced financial assistance for families whose houses have kutcha roofs.
Under the proposed initiative, eligible families will receive Rs 80,000 to make their roofs permanent. The government will soon open a portal through which eligible families can submit their applications.
Development Funds Announced For Ladwa Villages
During his visit to the Ladwa constituency, Saini announced several grants for development works in villages.
For Beed Kheri, he announced Rs 21 lakh for development projects and Rs 2 lakh for books for the village library.
In Anthedi, Rs 50 lakh was announced for the construction of a community centre, along with funds for the beautification of the cremation ground.
For Bargat Jatan and Bargat Thalipur, the Chief Minister announced Rs 21 lakh each for village development, Rs 2 lakh each for library books and Rs 11 lakh for a langar hall at the Shiva temple.
Saini also said demands submitted by gram panchayats would be forwarded to the concerned departments for necessary action.
CM Highlights Electricity And Welfare Schemes
Saini said the state government had worked towards providing round-the-clock electricity to villages.
He also said families with an annual income of up to Rs 1.80 lakh were being provided 2-kilowatt solar panels free of cost under the government’s solar initiative.
According to the Chief Minister, the measure was aimed at reducing electricity expenses for eligible households.
He further highlighted free dialysis for kidney patients and free treatment of up to Rs 5 lakh under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
Saini said such welfare measures were aimed at supporting economically weaker sections of society. He also highlighted the government’s efforts to establish colleges at a distance of around every 20 kilometres.
Government Departments Set Up Help Desks
As part of the programmes in Ladwa, the district administration set up help desks and departments installed stalls to provide information about government schemes and receive applications from eligible residents.
Under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, stalls were set up in Kalirano and Sultanpur.
Departments and agencies participating included the solar panel initiative, Haryana State Rural Livelihood Mission, Animal Husbandry Department, District Social Welfare Department, Women and Child Development Department, Family ID services, AYUSH, Health Department, PM Matru Vandana Yojana and MSME Department.
Officials and representatives used the stalls to hear public complaints and assist residents with applications related to various government schemes.
