Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh) — Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini extended an open invitation to global visitors to experience the legendary saga of the Mahabharata through cutting-edge technology at the Jyotisar Mahabharata Experience Centre in Kurukshetra. Speaking to media persons on Friday, the Chief Minister recalled that the facility was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and noted that the landmark has swiftly emerged as a premier cultural and spiritual tourism destination dedicated to the timeless heritage of the Bhagavad Gita and the epic war.
Prior to addressing reporters, Saini offered prayers at the revered Jyotisar Tirtha, seeking peace, happiness, and continued prosperity for the state, while also interacting warmly with children dressed as Lord Krishna and Radha. He subsequently conducted a comprehensive review of the Mahabharata Experience Centre, issuing key directives to Deputy Commissioner Vishram Kumar Meena to ensure top-notch visitor amenities, before attending a spiritual discourse by Swami Gyananand Maharaj at the Gita Gyan Sansthanam complex.
Highlighting the project’s scale, the Chief Minister stated that the centre blends traditional storytelling with immersive modern technology across a sprawling 17-acre campus featuring over 100,000 square feet of indoor experiential galleries. The initiative seeks to bring the epic tale and ethical philosophies of the Gita alive for contemporary generations and global travellers alike.
Turning to agricultural matters during the media briefing, Saini assured farmers that the state administration is working in close coordination with the central government to ensure a seamless upcoming paddy procurement season. He advised farmers to bring their produce in accordance with designated moisture parameters to prevent complications for commission agents and procurement agencies, reiterating that cultivators will face no hardships during crop sales. Former minister of state Subhash Sudha, Deputy Commissioner Vishram Kumar Meena, and Superintendent of Police Jashandeep Singh Randhawa were also present during the visit.
