CALGARY ( Rajeev Sharma): Akaal Warriors FHC has officially launched the poster for the MAX/PRO TAX CUP 2026 Field Hockey Tournament, a two-day sporting event scheduled for August 29–30, 2026, at Maxwell Soccer Centre, located at 7000 48 Street SE in Calgary.
The tournament is expected to bring together field hockey players, families, youth, sports enthusiasts and community members for a weekend of competitive action, sportsmanship and celebration of the sport. The event aims to provide athletes with an opportunity to showcase their skills while encouraging greater participation in field hockey among young people.
The official poster launch was attended by prominent community and political representatives, business leaders and sports personalities, including Mandeep Duggal of ProTax, MLA Parmeet Singh Boparai, Happy Mann, Senior Advisor to the Leader of the UCP, and Jatinder Tatla, Stakeholder Administrator with the Office of the Alberta Premier.
Speaking with National Times, Mandeep Duggal of ProTax emphasized the importance of supporting sporting initiatives and creating positive opportunities for children and youth in the community. “Sports are one of the best ways to keep our children and youth on the right path and help them build a better and brighter future,” Duggal said.
He added that he remains committed to supporting and promoting sporting events that encourage youth participation, healthy lifestyles, teamwork and community engagement.
