Mumbai (Gurpreet Singh)— The Haryana Government secured investment commitments exceeding ₹66,000 crore on the second day of its international outreach campaign, “Happening Haryana 2.0,” held in Mumbai. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh oversaw the formal exchange of Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) between corporate delegates and state officials.
Addressing foreign consulate generals, prominent business figures, and institutional investors, Saini stated that Haryana offers strategic partnership, scale, speed, and policy stability rather than merely land and clearances. He highlighted that the administration focuses on practical project execution rather than routine administrative delays and announced the establishment of the Industry-Labour Friendship Council to swiftly resolve industrial disputes and uphold workers’ rights.
The Chief Minister noted that although Haryana covers only about 1.3 per cent of India’s landmass, it contributes nearly 3.6 per cent to the national gross domestic product (GDP). Outlining regional development strategies, Saini detailed specialized industrial nodes, including food processing and scientific equipment clusters in northern Haryana, engineering and auto corridors in central districts, IT, electronics, and global capability centres in the south, and agro-industries and renewable energy in the western belt. He also highlighted the “Haryana Vision Document-2047,” which aims to transition the state into a one-trillion-dollar economy.
Saini extended five core guarantees to the investor community: sustained policy stability, time-bound approvals, dedicated project handholding, tailored workforce training with improved connectivity, and integrated industrial linkages with MSMEs, regional infrastructure, and local employment.
Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh highlighted the state’s logistical transformation, noting that comprehensive national highway connectivity has reduced transit time across the state from over seven hours to about three and a half hours. Department Commissioner and Secretary Dr. Amit Kumar Agrawal added that Haryana accounts for nearly two-thirds of India’s passenger cars and 60 per cent of its motorcycles, supported by a modern regulatory environment featuring rapid online services and streamlined industrial subsidy disbursements.
