Chandigarh (Gurpreet Singh): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini affirmed that the state government is rapidly executing major industrial and logistics initiatives to establish Haryana as a premier manufacturing powerhouse in India. The Chief Minister made these remarks while attending the third meeting of the Apex Monitoring Authority of the National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust via video conference. The high-level review session, chaired by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, saw participation from Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal along with chief ministers and senior officials from various states.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister provided updates on flagship state infrastructure initiatives, including the Integrated Multi-Modal Logistics Hub in Nangal Chaudhary and the Integrated Manufacturing Cluster in Hisar. Saini noted that land clearance, connectivity links, and core utility infrastructure are advancing swiftly to ensure timely commissioning. He also highlighted that a proposal has been submitted to the central government to establish a 108-acre industrial park in Ambala under the Union Government’s Bhavya scheme.
Outlining the progress in Nangal Chaudhary, the Chief Minister stated that land acquisition for the initial stage is being finalized to facilitate subsequent expansion phases, adding that he will personally visit the facility on August 23 to flag off rail operations. The rail yard at the logistics hub will be operated by the Central Warehousing Corporation as allied works gather pace.
Regarding the Hisar Integrated Manufacturing Cluster, Saini detailed that bids have been received and are currently being evaluated for the approximately Rs 707-crore engineering, procurement, and construction project for Phase 1 infrastructure. Construction tenders for canal diversion have been awarded, and the National Highways Authority of India has awarded the double loop interchange contract at Dhandhoor Junction. The state targets the official notification of the master plan by August 31, 2026, while concurrently advancing land acquisition for other planned industrial nodes, including ten upcoming Industrial Model Townships across the state.
